Juda Engelmayer oversees the Corporate Communications, Public Affairs, and Crisis Communications groups for 5WPR. He directs a team whose efforts focus on business, advocacy, and policy related issues, and who represents clients in the national and international arenas. He publicly campaigns for clients, directing promotion and positioning, and handles crisis matters, strategic communications, and issues of public discourse on corporate, financial, and philanthropy related matters.
Among the advocacy clients he represents are the Sergeants Benevolent Association and the Greater New York Taxi Association; he works with such corporations as Medifast, Duane Reade, and Caesars Interactive Entertainment, hedge funds, real estate companies, and law firms.
A seasoned veteran in the area of public affairs and corporate communications, Juda ensures his clients' messages get to the right audiences. He brokers strategic partnerships and establishes key figures as thought leaders on the issues that matter. His counsel both abates and averts critical issues and reshapes conversations to his clients' benefit.
During his 20-plus year career he has served as Chief Communications Officer for The American Jewish Congress where he was credited with enhancing and rebuilding the stature of the 87-year-old agency. Prior to that, he served as Vice President at Rubenstein Associates, a New York PR firm.
Juda began his career in crisis and community relations at the New York offices of the Anti-Defamation League, and as an executive assistant to H. Carl McCall, the New York State Comptroller.
Juda is an active member in his college fraternity's alumni business networking group. For 15 years, he and his wife owned and operated the venerable New York bakery, Kossar's Bialys on Manhattan's Lower East Side.
