A memorial commemorating the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. will be built on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. by leading a collaborative funding, design, and construction process in the creation of a memorial to honor his national and international contributions to world peace through non-violent social change. The Memorial will be situated adjacent to the F.D.R. Memorial and in a direct line between the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials.
