Turning home chefs into culinary heroes, Sansaire, the Seattle-based startup, leads the way in making sous vide attainable for at-home chefs. In August 2013, Sansaire designed and launched the world's first affordable sous vide circulator on Kickstarter - a campaign that set a new record as the #1 most-funded food project in Kickstarter history.

As Sansaire prepared to launch the brand's second Kickstarter campaign, to fund production of the Sansaire Delta, 5W was tasked with generating excitement and spearheading the push for consumer facing media. This next generation sous vide immersion circulator is not only smaller and sleeker than the original, but also focuses on connectivity through Wi-Fi capabilities and a new companion app.

STRATEGY

5W conducted strategic and hyper-targeted media outreach throughout the campaign to all relevant journalists who previously covered the Kickstarter or sous vide spaces, as well as those who would be interested in the launch. 5W specifically focused its efforts on food, technology, business, men's/women's interest, trade and local Seattle media in order to garner meaningful placements to best support Sansaire's fundraising goals and to maximize the exposure of its latest product and coinciding crowdfunding efforts.

RESULTS
