Repêchage® is an internationally acclaimed seaweed-based skin care and spa brand that pioneers the latest in marine biotechnology, seaweed science, and thalassotherapy to deliver clinical, natural skin care solutions for women and men. Repêchage® challenged 5W Public Relations to create and execute a full service PR campaign that would elevate the brand's profile as one of the leading skin care and spa companies in the U.S.


Through a strategic, multi-level PR campaign, 5W promotes Repêchage® in both consumer and trade press we sought to educate and in some cases re-educate target consumers about the rich history and principles of the brand. We focused on raising the profile of the brand's CEO, Lydia Sarfati, as the leading expert in the esthetic industry and raised local awareness by supporting Repêchage's regional spa accounts.

While capitalizing on Repêchage's strong heritage, we also called attention to its innovations and cutting-edge product launches. For example, we recently generated major media success surrounding its new hair spa collection and Facial Bar, a revolutionary concept delivering express facial treatments out in the open. By hosting an exclusive editor event, aptly titled "Breakfast & Blow-Outs", we showcased the express treatments and gave editors the chance to experience a facial or hair treatment; the treatments lasted 30-minutes and was timed so they could partake before the workday started. Some of our elite media attendees included Didi Gluck, Beauty & Health Director, Alyssa Kolsky Hertzig, Beauty Director at Shape magazine and Julie Earle-Levine, Beauty Writer for The New York Times Magazine.
