Viki's Granola, a line of gluten-free, non-GMO granola, tasked 5W with strategizing and executing a public relations program aimed to increase consumer awareness around the brand products. Specifically, 5W's primary objective was to position Viki's Granola as the "fastest growing granola brand in the U.S." while positioning the CEO and Founder, Viki Sater, as an innovative entrepreneur and thought-leader in the "better-for-you" foods category.

STRATEGY

5W launched a traditional earned media program with the two following focuses: 1.) positioning Viki's Granola as the "fastest growing granola brand in the U.S." and 2.) highlighting Viki Sater as an industry leader. Through the strategic media coverage garnered, 5W established Viki's Granola's position as the leading and fastest growing brand within a very competitive category while highlighting the brand's core messaging: gluten-free, all natural and non-GMO.

RESULTS

In the first year of the program, 5W secured a groundswell of media coverage across a wide range of media and verticals, resulting in over 400 million media impressions. In executing the first year of the Public Relations Program, the brand's sales increased by 150%.

As a result of 5W's media outreach, Viki's Granola products were featured in outlets including, but not limited to: Women's Running, Delish, MSN Food & Drink, Martha Stewart, Gourmet Business, Today's Grocer, Eat Clean, Parents, Progressive Grocer and more.

Additionally, as a result of the program, Viki Sater was recognized as one of New York Business Journal's "Women of Influence" for 2016 and her thought-leadership was included in numerous business-focused outlets such as Long Island Business News, Female Entrepreneurs Institute, Food Navigator USA and Newsday.
