JetSmarter is the leading private jet company that provides access to the largest private jet marketplace in the world. Touted as the "fastest growing country club of the sky," 5W Public Relations, PR Agency of Record for JetSmarter since 2013, has been tasked with creating an integrated program that emits this messaging across the US, Europe and the Middle East via traditional and social media platforms. The challenge faced was to create a program was that would resonate with JetSmarter's high-net worth clientele, ultimately leading to an increase in downloads and membership sales for JetSmarter.

STRATEGY

5W created a strategic influencer program to increase the brand's visibility across groups of tastemakers, celebrities and high-net worth individuals. To achieve this, 5W and JetSmarter created "Celebrity JetShuttles," working with top-tier celebrities and influencers across industries including film, television, sports, fashion and more for flights hosted by celebrities, allowing JetSmarter members the opportunity to book seats on each flight.

During this "Who I Met" campaign, JetSmarter members have had the opportunity to fly with notable personalities including Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Jamie Foxx, Emily Ratajkowski, Jenny McCarthy, Carmelo & Lala Anthony, Daymond John, and more. While on flight, members mix and mingle with the celebrities and have taken to social media to express "who they met" while flying with JetSmarter, which has ultimately piqued the interest of more people wanting to purchase a membership and gain access to these once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.

In addition to the "Who I Met" campaign, a vital part of connecting with JetSmarter's target audience has been to work with influencers across a slew of industries, leveraging them to introduce their social media followers to JetSmarter. This tactic has been purposely designed to further increase the brand's visibility across groups of tastemakers, celebrities and high-net worth individuals. Social media posts have ranged from videos of the influencers/celebrities flying on a JetSmarter flight and discussing how easy it is to book a private jet flight and avoid flying commercial, to showing their followers the app and the various JetShuttle flights that are available to JetSmarter members, for free.

RESULTS

As a result of 5W's strategy and overall focus of increasing the brand's visibility amongst an affluent market, in a short time JetSmarter's mobile downloads increased by 73% and their Instagram followers increased by 1,374% (6,848 to 101,000).

Also as a result of the successful media coverage surrounding influencers/celebrities posting about JetSmarter, over 1 billion (1,726,208,499) media impressions have been secured as well as over 225 million social impressions (225,808,000) across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
