OVERVIEW: Each June, more than 25,000 attendees from over 82 countries converge on New York's Jacob Javitz Convention Center for Licensing International Expo, the world's premier marketplace for the $200 billion licensing industry. Featuring over 6,000 properties and brands in such categories as entertainment, lifestyle, sports, fashion, food & beverage, publishing, and more, Licensing International Expo is where the trends of tomorrow are discovered today.
OBJECTIVE: 5W Public Relations’ goal was to increase pre-show business coverage in an effort to grow the exhibitor base, as well as to secure broad reaching coverage for the show itself and the various properties and brands represented.
RESULTS: In the months leading up to the show, we worked with domestic and international media, highlighting trends in key categories such as sports, entertainment, international business and such. The result was overwhelming, including a half page feature in USA Today, two syndicated Reuters features, coverage on Fox Business, MSNBC, CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, 60 Minutes, NBC Nightly News, WWD, Nikkei, Dow Jones, AOL.com, Advertising Age, Brandweek and countless others.
