| 5W Opens Rock’s
Greatest Treasure Trove

Founded in 2003 by entrepreneur Bill Sagan, Wolfgang’s
Vault is the premier online resource for rock memorabilia.
Upon signing with 5W Public Relations in 2005, the agency’s
charge was three-fold, the first being driving traffic sales
to Wolfgang’s Vault and position the site as the premier
online site for all rock memorabilia, music and videos;
Establish CEO Bill Sagan, as an expert in music history;
Launch “Vault Radio”, an online audio streaming
device that plays over 5,000 live audio recordings, as their
newest addition to their website.
Within the first week of our multi-tiered PR campaign we
created the opportunity to establish Wolfgang’s Vault
as the hottest online music retail one –stop shop
by securing Wolfgang’s Vaults’ vintage t-shirts
as gift bag items for Jessica Simpson’s private, 25th
birthday bash. We secured television coverage on Entertainment
Tonight as well as print coverage in People, Star, Life
and Style and US Weekly.
Within 6 months we validated Wolfgang’s Vault brand,
as the only site for authentic rock memorabilia, music and
video, by securing a front page profile in the “MarketPlace”
section of the Wall Street Journal. Within five days of
the article, sales doubled and unique page visits increased
30%.
Lastly, 5W developed and executed an international media
blitz, for the launch of “Vault Radio” on February
8th, 2006, which included simultaneously outreaching to
print, broadcast, radio and website / blogs. The successful
PR campaign drove daily page visits from 25 million to 300
million and increased sales 1,000% and the company’s
feature on CBS News’ “Sunday Morning”
was awarded the 2006 Emmy for “Outstanding Interpretation
or Analysis of Business News Story in a Regularly Scheduled
Newscast”. Wolfgang’s Vault has been featured
in additional top-tier media outlets including: New York
Times, Rolling Stone, CNN, CNBC and AdAge.
