Overview
Task: Increase Jamf's media presence and solidify the company as the standard in Apple Enterprise Management software.
Jamf, the standard in Apple Enterprise Management, extends the legendary Apple experience people love to businesses, schools and government organizations through its software and the world's largest online community of IT admins focused exclusively on Apple.
When Jamf came to 5W, the team was tasked with building Jamf's media presence, maintaining a majority share of voice amongst competitors and executing on brand awareness to solidify the company as the standard in Apple Enterprise Management software.
Strategy
The goal throughout the campaign has been to position the company as the leading provider of Apple Enterprise Management software. Since kicking off, the campaign has had a few different prongs: continuing coverage in Apple tech outlets, increasing presence in security, education and healthcare vertical publications and driving home Jamf's corporate story in tier-1 tech and business outlets, using company announcements, milestones and earnings as anchor points.
Over the course of the relationship, there have been opportunities to capitalize on different areas of focus. A report from IDC found the average penetration of macOS devices over the last year is around 23% in the US, compared to 17% in 2019. With this rapid growth of Apple devices in the enterprise, the team was active in offering up different executives to discuss topics such as cloud identity, how schools can keep up with remote education, Apple security breaches, customer case studies and more. Additionally, the shift to Apple adoption in the enterprise has led to company growth and revenues, leading to tier-1 coverage in key business and technology outlets, as well as broadcast opportunities around earnings periods.
Results
5W has continued to build up Jamf into one of the most recognized providers of Apple Enterprise Management software solutions. Since the beginning of the engagement, Jamf's SOV has maintained its place as the leader in share of voice amongst competitors, jumping from 67% to 76% in one fiscal quarter.
Many reporters have established a relationship with the team and consistently look to Jamf's executives for commentary on topics in the Apple Enterprise Management space.
