Agent Manifest

An agent manifest is a published, machine-discoverable file — typically served from a `/.well-known/` path — that tells AI agents and their crawlers what a merchant supports: which commerce protocol, which capabilities, which endpoints.

The agent manifest is the handshake that makes a storefront agent-ready. Before an agent can discover or transact with a merchant, it needs to know how — which protocol the merchant speaks and which checkout endpoints to call. The manifest answers that, in a location agents are built to check.

For a brand, a correctly configured manifest is a precondition, not an enhancement. Without it, agent-readable content and a clean product feed still do not produce a transaction, because the agent cannot confirm the merchant is open for agentic business.
