What does a public relations agency do for your brand?
A public relations agency earns your brand third-party coverage that you cannot place through advertising spend or your own channels. A reporter, analyst, or creator vouches for you, and readers weigh that differently from an ad.
For your brand, that work covers media relations, executive positioning, product launches, research programs, reputation management, and crisis response, run by a team that already knows the reporters in your industry. Today, 5WPR also carries your earned and owned coverage into AI overviews and answers, so the same story that runs in Forbes shapes how ChatGPT describes you.
5WPR covers industries including consumer products and brands, technology public relations, and financial services and fintech. Our practice also spans health and wellness, corporate communications, and public affairs. Pick the practice closest to your business; each team knows the media, customers, and regulators you deal with.
How does earned media build credibility for your brand?
Earned media puts a journalist, analyst, or influencer between your company and your audience, so your story reaches people who would never visit your website or follow your accounts. When a buyer compares options, that coverage is what they find.
Adzuna shows what that looks like from a standing start. When 5WPR began, Adzuna had no measured media presence in the United States. The published Adzuna case study reports 19.5 billion earned media impressions in under three years, with coverage in Forbes, CNBC, FOX Business, Business Insider, and Fast Company. If your brand is entering a new market, this is the pattern: build a repeatable supply of data and commentary, then place it where your buyers already read.
DailyPay did the same in financial services. The DailyPay case study reports 17.9 billion impressions in under three years across The New York Post, Business Insider, CBS Evening News, Forbes, and CNBC. In a category where trust decides the selection, that coverage becomes third-party proof your sales team can reuse.
When your analytics allow it, these programs also report reach, referral traffic, and pipeline or sales data, so you can watch coverage turn into business.
Which practice area fits your brand?
5WPR organizes its work into practice areas so the team on your account already knows your media, your customers, and your regulators. Full details are in the 5WPR practice areas index and the services overview.

AI models like ChatGPT build their answers from published sources, such as news coverage, and owned sources, such as your website and social accounts. If those sources do not describe your brand accurately, or do not mention it at all, the model has nothing to cite when a customer asks.
The 5W AI Visibility Index measures this gap. It tracks five main AI models — ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews — and the series now spans more than 39 categories. 5W describes the discipline as "PR for the machine reader" in its published methodology.
For your brand, the Index answers three questions before any program starts: citation share by brand within a category (sets a measured baseline and target), which sources each model cites (points your earned and owned media at those publications), and accuracy of claims about brands (corrects the public sources behind wrong answers).
The source finding is the one most brands act on first. 5WPR's AI Visibility Index study of AI companies analyzed 32,200 prompts across the five models in two waves for 2026. GitHub and ArXiv accounted for 31% of citations about AI companies, second only to Wikipedia. A brand in that category that only pitches business press is missing the sources the models weight most. 5WPR runs the same analysis for your category, identifies which publications the models cite, then helps your brand appear accurately in them.
No placement, page update, or schema block guarantees an AI citation; each model and its governing company controls its outputs. What the research gives you is a measured starting point, so you know where your brand stands before you spend.
What happens when AI describes your brand wrong?
AI answers can attach outdated products, expired partnerships, and incorrect executive or ownership relationships to your brand, and a customer reading the answer has no way to tell.
5W and Talent Resources tested more than 400 prompts across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity for the Beauty AI Endorsement Index 2026. The study classified 22%, roughly one in five, of sampled recommendations in that category as fabricated or unverifiable, and documented invented product lines, expired partnerships, and incorrect founder relationships.
A 5WPR AI search visibility audit tracks your company name, claims, leadership, partnerships, cited sources, and factual errors across a fixed set of questions, so you see what your customers see.
Correcting a wrong answer usually means correcting the public sources behind it. You control your site, your press materials, and what you tell reporters. You do not control the model, and 5WPR does not claim to. The work is making the sources the model reads accurate and complete.
How will you know your public relations program is working?
You should receive reach, quality, and business effect as three separate measurements rather than one combined number, so you can see which part of the program is moving.
Paid activity is measured alongside earned activity rather than in place of it. 5WPR's Samsung SmartThings case study reports 4 million paid media impressions in six months. The same program reports more than 8 billion earned media impressions, close to 40,000 social engagements, and 17.28% Instagram audience growth. Reported side by side, you can see what each part of the budget produced.
Published case-study results describe one engagement under one set of conditions. They do not forecast the outcome of your program, and 5WPR will not present them as if they do.
What we report
- Reach — impressions and placement counts
- Quality — outlet tier, message accuracy, and share of voice against competitors you name
- Business effect — referral traffic, branded search volume, pipeline, and sales when your company supplies that data
- AI search — citation share by model and the sources behind each answer
What does crisis preparation protect for your brand?
Crisis preparation is procedural work that happens before an incident occurs, not a response written during one. A brand that has decided in advance who speaks, and about what, spends the first hours of a crisis acting rather than arguing.
Preparation for your brand includes a monitoring setup, a named decision chain, pre-approved holding statements, a spokesperson list, and an agreed escalation threshold. 5WPR's crisis communications and reputation management services cover this work.
Contested shareholder situations create the same problem on a deadline. 5W's Standard General case study covers a proxy battle with TEGNA. The case study reports more than 1 billion unique impressions across 38 targeted articles, including The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg.
During an incident, your communications team monitors discussion, prepares responses, and shares verified information, while your legal, product, and safety teams determine corrective action. 5WPR's role is the first half of that split.
What results has 5WPR published for brands like yours?
5WPR publishes case studies across consumer, technology, financial, and corporate work so you can check the pattern that fits your brand before a first call.

What will a public relations agency cost my brand?
Most agency work runs on a monthly retainer sized to your scope, with project pricing used for launches, single announcements, and research programs. 5WPR's contact form lists monthly budget bands starting under $15,000 and extending past $100,000.
How long before my program produces coverage?
Announcement-driven coverage often appears within the first weeks. Sustained presence in top-tier business media usually takes longer because it depends on a repeatable supply of news, data, or executive commentary that editors seek.
What is the difference between public relations and digital marketing?
Public relations earns third-party coverage. Digital marketing buys and optimizes placement your company controls. 5WPR runs both through its digital marketing practice and its digital public relations team, so the two are planned together.
How does public relations affect my brand's AI search visibility?
AI models overwhelmingly cite published sources. Coverage in the publications a model treats as trustworthy improves how often your brand appears in AI-generated summaries and answers. The effect is measurable but not guaranteed.
Does 5WPR work with early-stage companies?
Yes. 5WPR's published client work spans venture-backed startups through Fortune 100 companies, listed on the 5WPR client roster.

Your brand's reputation now lives in two places: the coverage third parties publish about you, and the answers AI models generate from that coverage.
Both depend on accurate information being available where readers, reporters, and models look for it.
5WPR connects earned media, corporate communications, crisis response, digital public relations, and AI search measurement into one program, and measures each part separately so you know what is working. Our goal is to make your brand's information easy to find, quote, share, and recommend.
